Still my go-to for scouting

I've been using ScoutIQ since they first launched, so I've seen it evolve. This recent experience, renewing my professional plan, was as smooth as ever. The consistency is what keeps me coming back; the restricted brand checker and buy box price tracking have always been reliable. It integrates well with my other inventory management tools too, which is a big plus. I even tried a competitor for a month once, but came right back. ScoutIQ just fits my workflow better and the data feels more solid for my book reselling.

Worked pretty well for books

I used the ScoutIQ mobile scanning app for a few weeks to look for books at some local stores. It was pretty easy to get started and scan barcodes. Found a few profitable ones, which was nice. The eScore thing was helpful, gave me a quick idea if it was worth checking out more. Overall, a good experience.

Good value with free trial

I was looking for a good book scouting app and decided to try ScoutIQ because of the 14-day free trial. I used the database mode a lot, and it definitely saved me time. After the trial, I went with the annual plan since it offered a better deal overall. It felt worth the purchase for what I saved on bad buys and found in good inventory. Glad I checked out the trial first.

Solid tool, small issues

I've been using ScoutIQ for a while now, mainly for retail arbitrage. The Amazon FBA profit calculator is super useful, and the custom triggers really help narrow down what I'm looking for. The sales rank data is pretty accurate too, which is key. My only minor gripe is sometimes the live mode can be a bit slow to load data in certain areas, even with good signal. It's not a deal-breaker, but it does make you wait a second or two sometimes. Customer service was responsive when I had a billing question though. Overall, a valuable tool for my business.

how accurate is the eScore? like, can I really trust it for buying decisions?

A Adam 3 weeks ago
I've found it pretty reliable. It's not perfect obviously, but it gives you a really good idea of how fast something sells.

It's generally solid for books. I wouldn't 100% rely on it for every single item, always double-check if it's a big investment, but for most stuff it's great.

Does anyone know if ScoutIQ works okay without internet? sometimes I'm in places with patchy signal.

S Susan Perez 4 weeks ago
Yep, it has a database mode for that! You download the data beforehand and can scan offline. Super useful for thrift stores.

L Leah Wright 3 weeks ago
Database mode is a lifesaver. Just remember to update the database whenever you have good internet so you're not looking at stale info.

hey, trying to figure out which plan to get. is the annual billing worth it for ScoutIQ or should I just go monthly to start?

A Amber K. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, definitely go annual if you're serious. You save a good chunk, like 15-20% I think. It adds up.

E Eric Hill 2 weeks ago
I started monthly just to test it out for a couple months, then switched to annual. No regrets, it's a solid tool.

Thinking of buying this, but how easy is it to cancel if it doesn't work out? Don't want to get stuck in a contract.

S Sam Garcia 3 days ago
Super easy to cancel. Just go into your account settings on the website and hit cancel. No hoops.

Yeah, I canceled once to switch plans, it was like two clicks. Pretty painless.

Can I use ScoutIQ if I'm just dabbling in FBA, or is it really only for big time sellers?

O Olivia Lopez 2 weeks ago
Nah, it's good for new sellers too. The eScore thing is super helpful for quickly figuring out if a book is worth it without getting bogged down in all the numbers.

I'm pretty new and it's been a game changer for me. Just remember you do need that Amazon Professional Seller account, it's not optional.

what's the deal with the free trial? is it actually 14 days or do they sneak in a shorter one?

M Melissa Jackson 1 month ago
It's a full 14 days, no tricks. You just sign up and get access to the features.

I'm thinking about trying ScoutIQ but I'm also looking at Keepa. any thoughts on how they compare?

J Jacob Moore 1 month ago
They do different things. Keepa is amazing for historical data and price tracking. ScoutIQ is more for on-the-go scanning and quick profit assessment.
2
E Elizabeth 1 month ago
I use both honestly. Keepa for deep dives, ScoutIQ for speed scanning when I'm out sourcing. If you only pick one, it depends on your main need.

Does ScoutIQ actually help with retail arbitrage too, or is it mostly just for books?

S Sean H. 1 month ago
It's primarily for books, that's what it was built for. But you can use it for other retail arbitrage items if you're just looking up general Amazon data.

J Justin W. 1 month ago
I mean, it's definitely optimized for books with the eScore and all. For general RA, it's useful for basic lookups, but other tools might be better if you're not doing books.
